Winter 2011/2012
Cheers to all of our new and old friends in Texas and New Mexico. We had a fantastic time down there on our late Autumn tour performing around Austin, the historic Gruene Hall, on the beach in Corpus Christi, and in Santa Fe. The new CD “Something Happening In The Air” is now officially out and the response to the new songs has been very gratifying. More and more stations in the EU are spinning the disc and we’re having fun performing the tunes in our live shows. Our friend, David Jacobson, surprised us with a poignant video using the title cut from the CD, We have put it up on this page, so feel free to check it out. Now that we are back in the Rockies, we will be doing shows with the larger Scones ensemble (some acoustic and some electric) and during the winter months we will be heading back into the studio to lay down some new tracks. Fall 2011
Thanks to everyone who came out and filled the venue up to over capacity for the Scones’ performance at the Mountain Harvest Festival. What a great time we had!  Our new EP, “Something Happening In The Air”, has been getting some nice airplay in Europe lately.  UK, Sweden, Romania, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and more ... pretty cool!  In fact Radio Phoenix 96.7 FM (central UK) did a feature retrospective of SS recordings on Oct. 9.  Click on “Blues In The Night” below for more info on that.  We’re gearing up for the Strolling Scones duo tour of New Mexico and Texas in November.  Rick & Helen will be performing at some wonderful venues down there.  Stay tuned for the Colorado release party dates in December for the new disc.
